Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering (Degree-Course) at AMRIT!
The Department of Computer Engineering at Atma Malik Institute of Technology and Research is committed to nurturing technically competent, innovative, and ethically grounded engineers with a strong sense of social and spiritual responsibility.
Guided by the institute’s value-based and spiritually inspired vision, the department strives to create a holistic learning environment that integrates academic excellence, modern technology, and human consciousness.
With an approved intake of 60 students, the department offers a robust curriculum aligned with Mumbai University outcomes, emphasizing both theoretical foundations and hands-on practical exposure.
The department focuses on core areas of computer engineering enabling students to address complex real-world challenges.
The department is supported by compute-intensive laboratories and actively promotes experiential learning through internships, industry-oriented projects, and collaborative activities.
To strengthen industry–academia interaction, the department has signed MoUs with GROK, Cloud Counselage, Cerebranium, University 3.0, and Value 3 Advisory, facilitating internships, skill development programs, and live projects for students.
A strong research culture is fostered through the recognized Research Center under the University of Mumbai, enabling scholars to pursue doctoral research in technology and encouraging faculty and students to engage in innovative research and publications.
To enhance professional growth and leadership skills, the department actively runs student chapters such as the Computer Society of India (CSI) and the Computer Engineering Students Association (CESA).
Regular workshops, seminars, guest lectures, faculty development programs, and industrial visits are organized to keep students and faculty updated with the latest technological trends.
By blending technical expertise, innovation, ethical leadership, and spiritual awareness, the Department of Computer Engineering aims to produce graduates who not only excel in their professional careers but also contribute responsibly and meaningfully to society.
" To develop technically proficient, innovative, and ethically grounded computer engineers who integrate professional excellence, spiritual awareness, and social responsibility to design intelligent, sustainable, and human-centric technological solutions for the betterment of society and the nation ".
M1: To provide strong foundational and advanced knowledge in computer engineering aligned with Mumbai University Program Outcomes, enabling students to analyze, design, and implement efficient computing solutions using modern tools and technologies.
M2: To nurture problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation skills through outcome-based education, project-based learning, research exposure, and industry interaction, in line with CO–PO attainment and continuous improvement.
M3: To inculcate ethical values, professional responsibility, and spiritual consciousness, encouraging students to apply technology with integrity, mindfulness, and compassion for societal and environmental well-being.
M4: To promote lifelong learning, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills, empowering graduates to succeed in higher studies, entrepreneurship, research, and global professional environments.
M5: To engage students in community-oriented and socially relevant computing solutions, fostering a sense of service, inclusiveness, and sustainable development inspired by the spiritual philosophy of Atma Malik.
On completion of the B.E. (Computer Engineering) degree the graduates will be able to Model computational problems by applying mathematical concepts and design solutions using suitable data structures and algorithmic techniques.
Design and develop computer programs/computer-based systems in the areas related to algorithms, operating system, artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, IoT and data analytics of varying problem.
Familiarize with the modern trends in industrial/research settings and thereby inventive novel solutions to existing problems.
Program objectives, is defined are the abilities, skills and accomplishments expected of graduates within a few years of graduation. Programs are required to assess their graduates’ accomplishments to determine if the objectives have been achieved. Within three to five years of graduation from the CES program, it is expected that many graduates will have:
Developed a product or process by applying their knowledge of mathematics, computing, systems and development tools Participated effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary development team and undertaken a leadership role when appropriate
Taken graduate courses or continuing education classes to improve their skills and abilities Made positive contributions to their community and society by applying skills and abilities learned during their undergraduate program in computer engineering and systems.
Made decisions related to their work that demonstrate an understanding of the importance of being an ethical engineering professional
